We see so many Chanel-style jackets in K-Dramas that it started to seem like this is an essential element for any collection of coats, so I made one.

The color of the fabric is very practical (goes well with jeans), but the weave has a relatively subtle design. Adding a chevron motif to the construction gave it a little more character.

I included some classic Chanel elements (quilting the lining and weighting the hem with a chain) but went my own way with welt pockets, bound buttonholes, and facings made of the main fabric.

A very basic trim was available in a good color and I kept adding layers of embellishments until the overall design seemed appropriate for the fabric. Bound buttonholes were made using edges of the trim for lips.
