My idea was to make a fitted jacket with an architectural theme that was reversible.

I started by drafting a jacket pattern and designing fabric for it.

This photo (“Girls in the Windows” by Ormond Gigli) was the inspiration for the outside of the jacket.

The jacket has welt pockets on the first side and patch pockets on this side.

My goal was to use up a lot of fabric scraps while continuing the architectural theme.

The front closures are magnets embedded in the quilting.
