I saw a story in the newspaper about people cutting up old quilts and making coats out of them..
I wasn’t willing to cut up any of my quilts, but I had plenty of fabric scraps, so I quilted pieces to fit the coat pattern.
The coat is reversible. This side features random quilting cottons rather than the denims and corduroys of the other side.
A friend calls me “the little red hen” because of my tendency to make everything from scratch. It’s now my mascot and featured on the back of the coat.
